AbstractWe report a passive mode-locked Nd:YVO(4) laser pumped by 880 nm LD using a transmission-type multi-walled carbon nanotube saturable absorber. At the pump power of 6.1 W, the average output power of 0.8 W of continuous wave mode-locked laser with optical conversion efficiency of 13.1% was generated. The repetition rate and pulse energy of the mode-locked pulse were 88 MHz and 9.1 nJ, respectively.
